Warm spring days call for cool, crisp drinks that refresh and brighten up a relaxing Saturday afternoon. Sangria is my favorite go-to drink in the spring for entertaining or even just for lounging in the garden with a few friends. I love how versatile this recipe is! You can use red wine, white wine, sparkling wine or even a combination like I did. You can add flavorings to sweeten it up, like a splash or orange juice or shot of fruit liquor. Grab any fruit lying around the house, chop it up and throw it into a pitcher with your favorite wine and voila! Not to mention munching on the wine soaked fruit is so good, and my favorite part!
White Wine Sangria
1/2 cup Blueberries
1 cup Strawberries
1 bottle white wine
1/2 bottle of prosecco
2 ounces Triple Sec (or any orange-flavored liquor)
Roughly chop the fruit. Combine all ingredients together in a large pitcher and ta-da! Add ice before serving. The more you let it sit, the more the delicious flavors marry.
